Human life is a part of social activities. Jetpur is considered as one of the most wealthy and prosperous cities in this area. On 14th December, 1970 a new path of Education was paved in this city. With the blessings of Rev. Shri Dongreji Maharaj, Shri Jetpur Kelavani Mandal Trust was established.
Shri Gordhandas Karsanji Bosamia managed for big donation amount collected by different donours. With his efforts, on 1st June-1972, Shri G.K. and C.K. Bosamia Arts and Commerce college was established.
Growing from the small seed, it has today become a big bushy tree. It has been providing education to Jetpur and other rural areas around the city.
SPCG English High-school, Jetpur is the result of long term visionary approach of Jetpur Kelavani Mandal Trust.
Jetpur Kelavani Mandal Trust has always remained concentrated to the focal point of upliftment of educational standards and amenities for higher education over a period of 40 years and more. Infrastructural facilities like multi-utility auditorium, E-library, Canteen, Parking facility, Computer labs, CCTV surveillance etc have been erected and developed in the last decade to facilitate students need and to develop the competency of students and institution. Organizing seminars, workshops, competitions, online internal exams, etc have added to the value of education and resultantly college has been able to distinct itself from the rest in terms of educational outputs.
However, visionary Managing Trustee Shri Chandrakantbhai Chhatbar and all trustees, who has been relentlessly and selflessly dedicated to the interest of the institution and educational upliftment in the town, was not contented with the continuous development but directed his thought towards making educational standards better from the root. Iconic figure in the field of education Mr. Kiranbhai Bhalodia –TGES [The Galaxy Education System - this introduction is not sufficient, happened to meet and talk on higher educational challenges and quality improvement in teaching and learning. This highly indulging talk of two hours resulted into understanding between the Prolific TGES management and quality thirsty college management wherein the seeds of SPCG English High-school were sawn by the two visionaries.
Idea of starting a school in college campus was thought and proposed in Feb 2013 and it got started from June 2013. Within the span of just 4 months, JKMT and entire team made it possible to start a new chapter in the educational history of Jetpur town under technical guidance and support from TGES – Rajkot.
Having got training within 4 months under experienced SNK academic heads/mentors, SPCG incepted from June 2013 with just 6 classrooms. Within two years, it has 10 classrooms, 1 art and craft room, lush playground area, rich library for students and teachers, admin section and aptly trained teachers with good qualifications recruited after multi filtered selection process. Within six years, it has 34 classrooms that have facilities with full infrastructural requirement of the school, LEGO Room, LEGO LAB, Assembly Hall, art and craft room, lush playground area, rich library for students and teachers, admin section and aptly trained teachers with good qualifications recruited after multi filtered selection process. School has also adapted latest technologies which includes use of Smart Boards and is also imparting education through several teaching aids like BYJUs, EBIX.
7 storied building being erected with 50+ classrooms facility and labs will fulfill infrastructural requirement of the school for many more years to come.
